I received my contributor copies of The 2016 Rhysling Anthology, which contains reprints of three poems that first appeared in “Crowned”: “The Washerwoman’s Daughter,” “Training: Stances,” and “Dragonslayer” 🙂 🙂 🙂

And I also received, in the same parcel, my contributor copies of the latest Star*Line, containing another three poems: “The Hobbit,” “Conversations with Household Items,” and “Hero.” The first of these three is autobiographical, the second fictitious, and the third is part of The Sign of the Dragon (a poem from the point of view of Queen Shazia).

Lucy drew me a picture of Hana for Mother’s Day 🙂 I have added the picture below the poem “The Ride” on my The Sign of the Dragon website.

My poems “Li” and “Rachel” have both been accepted by Songs of Eretz Poetry Review. “Li” is a poem from The Sign of the Dragon that focuses on one of King Xau’s guards. “Rachel” is a poem about a childhood friend of mine.

My poem Returning has been published in The Open Mouse 🙂 It’s a poem about King Xau riding for home after defeating a demon.

I will be giving a short poetry reading on Thursday at Te Cafe, 2000 Murray Avenue, Squirrel Hill, as part of the Pittsburgh Poetry Review’s roadshow for issue two. Charles W Brice and Stuart Sheppard will also be reading. The event starts at 7 pm.

My poem “Messengers,” a short poem from The Sign of the Dragon, has been accepted by Grievous Angel 🙂

My poem Inheritance has just appeared in Heroic Fantasy Quarterly 🙂 “Inheritance” is a poem with King Xau, and the dragon, and King Xau’s oldest son.

My poem “First Lesson” has been accepted by Silver Blade 🙂 “First Lesson” takes place 17 years into King Xau’s story.

My poem “Roasted Chicken” appeared online in Songs of Eretz Poetry Review. It’s a poem about cooking with Lucy.

My poem “Dragon,” in which King Xau meets the dragon for the second time, is in the latest issue of Dreams & Nightmares 🙂
