I received my contributor copies of The 2016 Rhysling Anthology, which contains reprints of three poems that first appeared in “Crowned”: “The Washerwoman’s Daughter,” “Training: Stances,” and “Dragonslayer” ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

And I also received, in the same parcel, my contributor copies of the latest Star*Line, containing another three poems: “The Hobbit,” “Conversations with Household Items,” and “Hero.” The first of these three is autobiographical, the second fictitious, and the third is part of The Sign of the Dragon (a poem from the point of view of Queen Shazia).

My poems “Li” and “Rachel” have both been accepted by Songs of Eretz Poetry Review. “Li” is a poem from The Sign of the Dragon that focuses on one of King Xau’s guards. “Rachel” is a poem about a childhood friend of mine.

I will be giving a short poetry reading on Thursday at Te Cafe, 2000 Murray Avenue, Squirrel Hill, as part of the Pittsburgh Poetry Review’s roadshow for issue two. Charles W Brice and Stuart Sheppard will also be reading. The event starts at 7 pm.
