My poem “Dragon Mountain” has been accepted by Heroic Fantasy Quarterly ๐ It will be my fifth poem from The Sign of the Dragon to appear there. It’s a poem from the perspective of Li, captain of Xau’s guards, and also features both Xau and the dragon.
My poem Between is online in Uppagus. It’s my fifth poem from The Sign of the Dragon to appear there ๐
I’ve just returned from a trip to England to visit relatives, and I have several items to report:
My light poem The End of the Line is online at Songs of Eretz Poetry Review ๐
I grew up in London. Although it is years since I lived there, I am still attached to it. It will be in my heart today, in the wake of another horrible attack.
My poem “On Reading O’Brian” has been accepted by Songs of Eretz Poetry Review ๐
I am delighted to report that my story “Extracts from the Captain’s Notes” has been accepted by Analog ๐ This is my second short-short to be accepted by Analog this year ๐
My short poem Shade has appeared in Silver Blade, my third poem from The Sign of the Dragon to appear there ๐
I attended the SFWA Nebula Conference here in Pittsburgh. Probably the highlight for me was meeting Trevor Quachri, the editor of Analog, who is very friendly. Usually I particularly enjoy attending readings at science fiction/fantasy conferences, but I don’t think the Nebulas included any readings. I did get to go to several interesting panels, and to meet up with friends. (The conference being in Pittsburgh, there were many people I knew.)
