My poems “Renunciation” and “Gone” have been accepted by Songs of Eretz Poetry Review. I think this brings me up to 56 poems accepted there! (I am one of their group of designated Frequent Contributors.)
Today I received $150 payment for my poem “Red Rising,” due to appear in the July/August 2018 issue of Fantasy & Science Fiction. F&SF remains my favorite place to submit my work: I like the magazine, its editor, that editor’s (usually) fast response times, and the generous payments for poetry.
My short-short Fantasy Nights appeared today in Daily Science Fiction, my second story to appear there this year ๐ Caution: by my tame standards, this is a comparatively adult-themed piece…. On the poetry front, my poem “The Holy Firmament of Venus” is in the new issue of Star*Line, my 31st poem to appear there!
My poem Irene is in the new issue of Uppagus. It’s a non-science-fiction, non-fantasy poem about Andrew’s grandmother. Also, and happily, my poem “Time Cats” has been accepted for the forthcoming Time issue of Eye to the Telescope, edited by Holly Lyn Walrath ๐
I’ve had a fifth poem accepted by Fantasy & Science Fiction, which will form the poetry part of a Mars mini-feature in the July/August 2018 issue ๐
My poem “Grasslands” has been accepted by Songs of Eretz Poetry Review. It’s a poem about visiting the National Aviary with my daughter, which, coincidentally, we did just a couple of days ago. When she was smaller, we used to go there often. Now it’s a rare, but sweet, event.
Analog has posted an interview that they conducted with me.
In addition, my poem Harold’s Samaritan has appeared in Songs of Eretz Poetry Review, accompanied by a beautiful watercolor by J. Artemus Gordon, now the art editor at Songs of Eretz.
My poem Lotus Moon, a King Xau poem, has been nominated for this year’s Rhysling Award, my fifth nomination this year. The poem first appeared in issue 4.2 of Mythic Delirium ๐
I had three more poems accepted by Star*Line, this time in a speedy 1-day-turnaround! I now now have six poems waiting in their inventory ๐
