I am very happy to report that my poem Venus, As It Might Have Been is a finalist for the AnLab Readers’ Award. In further happy news, I am honored that my poem “Coming of Age 2150” opens the Founders Issue of DreamForge; even better, the poem is accompanied by a beautiful illustration by Jane Noel 🙂

My poem Eighth Day is included in the new issue of Uppagus. I believe this is my twentieth poem to appear in Uppagus!

My poem Dragon Mountain, first published in Heroic Fantasy Quarterly, has been nominated for this year’s Rhysling Award 🙂 🙂 In further good news, my poem Irene, first published in Uppagus, has been reprinted in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette 🙂

My poem “Dear Creator,” first published in Fantasy & Science Fiction, has been nominated for this year’s Rhysling Award 🙂 🙂

My poem “Cavall” has been accepted by Asimov’s Science Fiction, my third sale to them 🙂 🙂 And I have completed the main book edits for Elemental Haiku, and the editor has approved them 🙂 🙂

My story Lord Serpent is now available online at Fireside, together with a wonderful illustration by Galen Dara.

Major news! I have a book forthcoming from Ten Speed Press! They will be publishing my Elemental Haiku (119 haiku for the elements of the periodic table), together with accompanying science notes that I’ve written. There will also be illustrations, which are not, I hasten to add, by me. N.B. These are the haiku that first appeared in Science.
