My poem “Bespeaking: Riddles” has been accepted by Star*Line. This is a very new poem from The Sign of the Dragon, written last week. Indeed I’ve written a dozen new The Sign of the Dragon poems so far in April … although at least two of these will be deleted. Such is the way of things.
A week late, I have finally realized that my 4-line poem “The Headlong Year” is now online in the Alternate Stories/Alternate Realties issue of Eye to the Telescope 🙂
My poem “Afternoon Tea” is in the new issue of Concho River Review, my eighth poem to be published there. It’s a short poem about making afternoon tea with Lucy…. In real world news, William (my son) turned eighteen today!
My poem Yayoi Kusama is online at Songs of Eretz Poetry Review 🙂 It’s a short mainstream poem about taking Lucy to an art gallery when she was six years old. (I wrote the first draft years ago, but the current pared-down version dates from last month.)

Today I received contributor copies of the May/June 2017 issue of F&SF, containing my poem “The Path to Peace” 🙂 🙂 🙂 This is my second poem from The Sign of the Dragon to appear in F&SF, and it’s from the point-of-view of one of King Xau’s enemies. N.B. I don’t think the issue will be on sale until closer to the official publication date (i.e. May).
My poem Stormalong Bay has been accepted by Ship of Fools, my 29th (!) acceptance from them 🙂
My poem “Yellowstone” has been accepted by litbreak 🙂 I wrote the poem after a family vacation to Yellowstone National Park. As you can see, it features another of my highly creative titles.
My poem Five Arrows has been published online at Songs of Eretz Poetry Review. It’s a poem about King Xau with his children.
