My poem The Sign of the King is online at Strange Horizons. Before you read it, I should warn you that the poem occurs almost at the end of The Sign of the Dragon, and contains a very major spoiler. And now here is the link-to-poem-with-major-spoiler.

Another Xau poem, Portraits, appeared in Songs of Eretz Poetry Review. This one contains far less grave spoilers, and features Tian, Xau’s cleaning woman.

My poem “Bespeaking: Riddles” has been accepted by Star*Line. This is a very new poem from The Sign of the Dragon, written last week. Indeed I’ve written a dozen new The Sign of the Dragon poems so far in April … although at least two of these will be deleted. Such is the way of things.

Today I received contributor copies of the May/June 2017 issue of F&SF, containing my poem “The Path to Peace” ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ This is my second poem from The Sign of the Dragon to appear in F&SF, and it’s from the point-of-view of one of King Xau’s enemies. N.B. I don’t think the issue will be on sale until closer to the official publication date (i.e. May).
