My poems “Bowl” and “On Vacation” have been accepted by Ship of Fools ๐ “Bowl” is a King Xau poem and “On Vacation” is about my addictive delight in reading.
My poem “Another Week” has been accepted by Songs of Eretz Poetry Review. The poem is about King Xau and his eldest son.
I am delighted to report that I am the poet of the week at Songs of Eretz Poetry Review. Today’s poem is “Grandmothers,” and is partly about my mother…. Also today I received my contributor’s copy of Louisiana Literature containing my poem “Holding You” (a poem about Lucy).
My poem “Inheritance” has been accepted by Heroic Fantasy Quarterly, and will be my third poem from The Sign of the Dragon to appear there. “Inheritance” features King Xau, his eldest son Keng, and the dragon.
David Hartwell, a giant in the science fiction field, died yesterday. I knew him a little, not well, and admired and liked him very much.
My poem “Words” has been reprinted online by RHINO (who published it in print last year).
“Crowned” has been nominated for the 2016 Elgin Award ๐ ๐ ๐
My poem “Succession” has been reprinted in Verse Envisioned, an anthology of poems from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, plus artwork inspired by twenty of the poems. I am honored to be included in the anthology, and doubly so as my poem appears on the facing page to Samuel Hazo’s wonderful poem “And the Time Is.” “Succession” first appeared in Red Rock Review.
Another acceptance from Songs of Eretz Poetry Review, this time for a Xau poem titled “Fault” ๐
